The Canadian Ostrich Association (COA) is a national organization that provides ongoing support to the Canadian ostrich industry - for the purpose of creating a viable agri-industry through education, research, promotion and market development. How We Started: The Association was first organized in June, 1990 in Regina, Saskatchewan, making it the oldest ostrich association in Canada. It was formally registered as the Canadian Ostrich Association on April 8th, 1991 with Consumer and Corporate Affairs, Canada. The first Annual General Meeting was held June, 1991 in Regina. Provincial Affiliates: The COA is structured to allow for provincial affiliates. This structure allows for direct contribution from respective provinces. In regions where no affiliate exists, direct COA memberships are available.
